Battery Recycling

October 9, 2008

Have some batteries you want to get rid of? As opposed to putting them in a plastic bag and throwing them into the alley, bring them to Eisenhower Library. Rechargeable or Non-Rechargeable Dry Cell batteries are accepted, as well as dead cell phones, dead mp3 players, dead PDAs, Ink-Jet Cartridges, dead handheld devices, and cordless batteries.

Want more information? Check out their site. Do the environment a service; recycle.

Block Posters

October 9, 2008

Have a big empty space on your wall? Well, you’re in luck, Block Posters is here to save the day. Select any high resolution image from the Internet, throw it into Block Posters, and print yourself up a nice new poster. Perfect if they don’t make a poster of something or if you just want to save a bit of money and make your own.

This one is my favorite:

CubeeCraft

October 9, 2008

CubeeCraft is a fun online site that offers many different projects drawn in their own style called “Cubees.” Cubees can be built by printing them out on a printer, and then cutting them out. No glue or tape is required. The site contains the schematics for all sorts of Cubees from Space Ghost to the Companion Cube. It even has Cubees from one of my favorite new anime series, Gurren Lagann.

All in all, if you’re looking for a fun craft, print out a few Cubees.
